We just love to make people smile through our food!
When I began thinking about decorating our café, my thought was to deliver a space that was a reflection of my philosophy and my esthetic. So, I wrote down all the adjectives that I hoped would describe Café Per Tutti.

I wanted all of our guests to love Café Per Tutti, as much as we do! This project was a personal dream for my family. Mostly for my beautiful parents who invested a good portion of their lives into serving the North Bergen community with La Mia Cantina and Bravo. Today, I am proud to be back in North Bergen with my talented son, Chef Michael and invite you to come in for a bite to eat and experience our relaxing sanctuary!
Back in the early 80’s Chef Michael’s Grandparents; Michael and Mary Strippoli opened La Mia Cantina at the newly renovated…Café Per Tutti, located at 7709 Bergenline Avenue in North Bergen. La Mia Cantina was known as “An Enchanting and Excellent Dining Experience” back then.
It was tastefully styled with bar seating up front and a glass enclosed eating area filled with cute tables, plants and Italian décor in the back. Most noted for his Shrimp Francesca, Pollo Romeo e Julieta, Veal Piccata and fresh Ravioli that were made on site.
La Mia Cantina was a fan favorite for 15 years and many North Bergen residents remember Michael and Mary for their warmth, innovation and most importantly…their great food and customer service.
Today, The Strippoli’s grandson; Chef Michael continues the legacy that was La Mia Cantina. The idea for Café Per Tutti came naturally and was born from a desire to bring back a slice of heaven to North Bergen.

Chef Michael’s deep appreciation for simple flavors and good food was developed at a very young age. His Italian immigrant grandparents chased the American dream and opened many restaurants in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. Some may remember…Café Italiano in Englewood Cliffs, and La Mia Cantina and Bravo. Both on Bergenline Avenue in North Bergen, NJ. He began his culinary career making raviolis with his grandfather at age 8 and was exposed to a variety of foods that would fuel his life-long passion for food. Chef Michael attended the prestigious Culinary Institute of America where he refined his culinary techniques and elevated his skills. He graduated after a successful externship at Wolfgang Puck’s Spago/Maui under Master Chef Cameron. After graduation Chef Michael was invited back to Spago where fostered his culinary experience pleasing the palettes of their exclusive clientele. In 2015, he went on to take a Sous Chef position at the renowned Merriman’s and then Executive Chef position at Cassanova. Today, Chef Michael continues his family’s legacy, philosophies and values in North Bergen, New Jersey at Café Per Tutti. He is dedicated to providing a superior dining experience for the community by sharing his culinary expertise, delivering friendly smiles and maintaining a high bar of excellence!
